Our story, our community

The Lay Em Low Bike Club Greensboro, NC Chapter was founded by Brandon Biggers  his vision was to foster a strong, family-friendly community where a shared passion for lowrider bikes can thrive. We are inspired by the opportunity to build meaningful connections, share knowledge, and celebrate the distinctive cultural identity of lowrider biking.

Community outreach is also central to our mission. Through local rides, family events, youth mentorship, and charitable involvement, we aim to create positive experiences both on and off the bike. We welcome riders, builders, enthusiasts, and supporters of all ages to join us in preserving lowrider culture while promoting respect, creativity, and unity throughout Greensboro and beyond.

Education and craftsmanship are another key part of our chapter’s purpose. We encourage members to learn the art behind every custom build, from detailed paintwork and chrome accents to careful restoration and personalized design. By sharing skills, stories, and creative ideas across generations, we honor the traditions of lowrider biking while inspiring the next generation of builders to express themselves with pride and originality.

Brotherhood and sisterhood guide everything we do as a chapter. We believe the strongest clubs are built on loyalty, encouragement, and mutual respect, whether members are preparing for a show, organizing a ride, or supporting one another through life’s everyday moments. By creating a welcoming space for all who appreciate the lowrider lifestyle, Lay Em Low Bike Club Greensboro is proud to strengthen lasting friendships and represent our community with integrity.

We organize a variety of activities, from group rides and social events like “Slow Cruises,” where community matters more than speed, to Bike Rodeos, skills clinics, and safety courses that help neighborhood youth become confident riders. We also volunteer with grassroots bicycle advocacy organizations.

Our work makes cycling more accessible to everyone by sharing route resources, connecting riders with local repair support, and advocating for safer, more bike-friendly streets. Whether someone is returning to riding after years away or exploring their neighborhood on two wheels for the first time, they are welcome in our supportive community—one built on movement, connection, and positive change.

We also believe that a well-maintained bicycle should never be out of reach. Through hands-on repair workshops, tool-sharing opportunities, and guidance from experienced volunteers, we help riders learn practical maintenance skills and keep their bikes rolling safely. By building confidence both on and off the bike, we empower community members to ride more often, spend less on repairs, and enjoy greater independence.
